Concept development for our music video,

My interest in making a music video is a desi core theme which will promote concepts of desi looks, art of getting ready, and a small narrative.

THEME: 

Creating a desi music video involves blending traditional South Asian cultural elements with modern music and visuals. The term "Desi" refers to the cultures, languages, and traditions of South Asia. A Desi music video concept can range from deeply rooted traditional themes to more contemporary, fusion styles that combine Desi elements with global influences, for eg.

Desi music videos often explore traditional and cultural themes like love, family, celebration, festivals (e.g.,  Eid), and spiritual elements (e.g., qawwali). These themes can be incorporated into a narrative or storyline that appeals to a Desi audience’s emotional and cultural sensibilities.

 Moreover, Desi music videos often feature rich and vibrant color reds, golds, greens, and yellows symbolizing energy, passion, and festivity. The visuals are lively, dynamic, and ornate, aligning with the vivid expressions of Desi culture.

Also, In Desi music videos, the costumes are key to setting the tone. Female dancers or singers might wear sarees, lehengas, or salwar kameez, while male performers might be seen in kurtas or sherwanis. Accessories like turbans, bindis, dupattas, or jewelry are often included. 

It also include love stories, they can be traditional, such as an arranged marriage scenario, or contemporary, depicting young love, heartbreak, or desire. Traditional themes like forbidden love or family drama are also common.

Settings: The locations could range from traditional settings like palaces, temples, or rustic rural landscapes to urban spaces reflecting contemporary Desi life. The use of vibrant colors, traditional architecture, and festive environments adds to the cultural authenticity.
